The voice on the other end of my phone timidly asked, “Are you the LifeChoices lady?” I smiled to myself, but responded, “I sure am, how may I help you?”
“Well a friend of mine gave me your number and said I should call you. I actually met you the other night when you helped her – she was the one that was all beat up. I need a pregnancy test and STI testing, but I don’t have a car.”
I offered to meet her at a local restaurant and bring her to the clinic so that the medical team could provide her with the essential healthcare she needed. When the appointment was completed and we were driving back to the restaurant, she smiled and said, “You people really are nice. I didn’t feel judged and I was treated with respect.”
