Sometimes the most routine tasks can bring some of the sweetest blessings to our staff, which is exactly what happened for Rita, our Advancement Director, last week.
As Rita was making calls to some our newest NETWORK partners – a group of individuals committed to giving monthly sustaining gifts to LifeChoices , she was asked this question:
“Do you have a few minutes for me to tell you why LifeChoices is so important to us?”
The woman on the other end of the phone told Rita that twelve years ago she found herself facing an unplanned pregnancy and considering abortion. Carrie and her boyfriend came to LifeChoices and she sweetly shared, “today we have our wonderful daughter and we think of her as our “LifeChoices baby”.
Carrie and Jason got married a year and a half later and have since added to their family. Today, both are serving God through their local church. As they were finishing their phone call Carrie said, “since coming to LifeChoices God has done amazing things in our lives! Someday we will tell our daughter this story and how blessed we are to have her. What we give each month is not much, but we want to be there for someone else’s family.”
God must certainly have something wonderful in store for this young girl and her family and we are so blessed by their generous gifts each month.
