Walt Disney once said, “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.” It’s a great quote, reminding me that while in every great endeavor there will be naysayers, doing the impossible is always fun.
Implied in our mission at LifeChoices is a dream—to help the hurting and the broken, and to protect the most vulnerable in Joplin, Carthage, and the surrounding communities. Is this audacious? Yes. Is this likely “impossible?” Many would think so.
Doing the impossible is also hard and sometimes emotionally draining. In just the last few weeks we have served young women that see no possible path forward in continuing their pregnancy, men that are desperately seeking peace and healing from past hurts, and vulnerable women that find themselves being exploited at every turn. But, we press on. We believe in a God so big that the impossible is always possible. And we believe He uses ordinary people—like you and me—to band together and accomplish missions that are extraordinary.
Thank you for your support and partnership; and for believing, “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.” Together, let’s keep at it. There is no way we could do this important work without you. And when God does accomplish the impossible, we’ll have a great time celebrating.
