“LifeChoices has taken empowering dads to a whole new level!”
Recently at a local coalition meeting, the director of a child abuse prevention program continued by saying, “Our staff can see tangible differences between the young dads who have been through the fatherhood program at LifeChoices and those who have not. They are far more attentive to their kids’ needs and more equipped to be an involved parent.”
Every Prenatal Parenting class that we offer includes a special session designed specifically for new fathers, called 24-HR Cribside Assistance. This class is a hands-on, interactive class where we teach young men the basics of how to care for their new baby and to also support the mother.
Michael, pictured above,is one of our 24-HR Cribside Assistance graduates. After overcoming a life of addictive behaviors, Michael stepped up to be a father to his young daughter and recently came back to help teach the last session of our class – he did an amazing job!
When we started Project Blueprint just over two years ago our goal was to equip and empower fathers to not only be a voice for life, but to be a father for life. It’s so encouraging to see and hear from other local service providers that they, too, see the difference we’re making in lives like Michael’s.
