As we turn toward Thanksgiving and the Christmas season, there is always anoticeable change in the air. TV shows are more likely to focus on the good, people seem to have an upbeat outlook on life, and we cling to stories which tell us everything has a happy ending, if we only believe.
The Hallmark Channel constantly runs Christmas movies, where love abounds, miracles take place and life always takes an unexpected turn for the better in only two hours of time. As a culture, we love this stuff and can’t get enough of the joys of the season. We run toward good news and miraculous outcomes.
At LifeChoices we don’t have Hollywood screen writers to write our stories, and problems aren’t solved in a precise, two-hour window. Yet we reach out to those whose situations appear hopeless, because we too still believe in miracles. We believe in a God who takes broken people and broken circumstances, rolls up His sleeves and says, “I’m not finished here.” He is a God who gives ample grace and love, and who allows ordinary people to work in the lives of the hurting.
With every gift you make to LifeChoices, you invest in these everyday miracles. Thank you for believing with us that God is still in the miracle-producing business. Our stories may not make it on Hallmark, but they are very real. And we appreciate you for making each one possible.
From our family to yours, we hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving!
