In 2016 we served over 11,500 individuals because of your support and our strong team of volunteers. We are blessed to currently have 13 area physicians from both major health systems who freely give of their time to serve our clients. This year we also received a generous donation of a full-time nurse from Mercy’s Labor & Delivery department. Here’s a little peak at her experience with LifeChoices:
“The work done at LifeChoices is amazing. No two clients are ever the same and it’s a blessing to be able to serve here. One day I had a 15 year-old girl who came to the clinic for testing; she’d had three different partners and now two different STIs. She was brought to tears with her results and our visit started her on a journey to begin making healthier choices. On the other end of the spectrum, I saw a 50 year-old couple that was working through past indiscretions in their marriage. They were attending church, seeing a counselor, and choosing to take the steps necessary to redeem their relationship. I was so grateful for our interaction that day!”
Because of our many volunteers we are able to see even more clients, without incurring any additional staff costs. We are so thankful to serve in such a kind and supportive community!
