“All is calm, all is bright…”

This little phrase from the Christmas carol Silent Night never quite caught my attention like it suddenly did after I became a mother. I imagine anyone who has spent significant time with a newborn might share a knowing smirk when considering whether all was truly calm and bright for Mary and Joseph on the night of Jesus’ birth. And yet, many of us who have experienced the arrival of a child might also reflect that somehow, amid the chaos, discomfort, and uncertainty in the hours and days that follow delivery, there can often be peaceful little moments when you simply soak in the sweetness of your new blessing.

At LifeChoices, we hope to provide similar peace-filled moments for clients and students in our community who feel like life is anything but calm and bright. Whether they are facing an unplanned pregnancy, a devastating health diagnosis, or abuse and exploitation, the individuals we serve are often weary and worried. But because of you, LifeChoices is able to share with them the incredible power of hope – hope for calm and bright days ahead and hope in a God who came to be with us during our hardest times.

We are so grateful to be part of this joyful, yet often difficult journey for young families in our community, and we’re blessed that you come alongside us in this effort. As we celebrate the greatest unplanned pregnancy of all this Christmas season, we also celebrate the countless families in our community who have been impacted by your generosity. Thank you for the encouragement you provide through your prayers and support.

During this Christmas season, we pray that you, too, will find peaceful little moments to pause and soak in the gift of Jesus.
