When patients walk through our doors, it’s typically in a season that is hectic and chaotic in their world. Occasionally we have the blessing of hearing back from them when their life has settled. Here are four text messages we received at LifeChoices last month.
From an individual with a positive HIV result: “Good morning. I did want to tell you that I’ve told most of my family members about my recent diagnosis and they are still extremely supportive. But I want to thank you for being just as supportive even though you don’t have to be.”
From a young woman in the adult entertainment industry: “I just left work, I can’t do it anymore. I just don’t have it in me. Dancing drives a wedge in my relationship with God and I can’t let that happen anymore. I would rather be broke at a basic job and have God than dance and have a lot of money but miss out on a relationship with Him. If you’ve been praying for me to leave dancing, thank you.”
From a woman who had been considering her options for her pregnancy: “I’m not sure if you remember me, but I came in a few months ago and you were the nurse that helped me. It’s just 2 days before my baby is born and I just want to give you the biggest thank you. Thank you so much for all the help and for getting me set on the right track. You helped me out of a decision that I’m so glad I didn’t go through with and I’ll be forever grateful for that.”
From a young father who came to LifeChoices with his partner for an unplanned pregnancy: “Today marks the second anniversary of our wedding. Our baby boy is amazing and we are doing well. Thank you for helping us through a tough season and seeing us through a wedding and the birth of our baby.”
Thank you for supporting the work that God is doing through LifeChoices. We are so thankful for each of you for making stories like these possible!
